Shiva is an Indian athlete representing the country for more than 2 decades in winter sports. He plays Luge and has represented India in 5 Olympics so far.
Shiva is participating in the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyongChang, South Korea. He will be on Indian jersey and will be leading the Winter Olympics team for the 6th time.
Popularly described as the “fastest Asian on ice” Shiva holds the speed record in Asian championships.
Born in Manali at the foothills of the Himalayas to an Italian mother andIndian father, Shiva is a multi-faceted and talented athlete. Not only that he can fluently speak English, Hindi, Italian, German, French and Malayalam, he can hold conversation in Japanese and Romanian too.
Shiva has done is schooling in leading Lawrence School, Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh and International Relations from the oldest ;political science college, Cesare Alfieri, University of Florence. In true sense, Shiva is a proud world citizen who has groomed himself to represent India on the International stage.
Shiva and Luge
Shiva began his journey as a Luge athlete when he was sighted and selected at a training camp in Himachal at the age of 15. He attended a Luge camp conducted by world champion Gunther Lemmerer where he was selected as a promising young athlete.
